Proper precare:

for a scar camouflage procedure helps ensure the best possible outcome and smooth recovery. Here are some key steps to follow:

1. Avoid Sun Exposure
Keep the scar area protected from the sun for at least two weeks before the procedure. Sunburned or tanned skin may not take pigment well, and UV exposure can alter color retention.
2. Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water leading up to the procedure to keep your skin well-hydrated, as hydrated skin responds better to pigmentation.
3. Avoid Blood Thinners
For about 48 hours before the appointment, avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, and other blood thinners (if approved by your doctor) as they can increase bleeding and interfere with pigment retention.
4. Pause Certain Skincare Products
Stop using any retinoids, exfoliating acids (like glycolic or salicylic acid), or strong skin treatments on the area for at least one week before the procedure, as they can make skin more sensitive.
5. Discuss Medical Conditions and Medications
If you have any medical conditions, allergies, or are on medication, inform your technician. Certain conditions may affect healing or pigment retention.
6. Avoid Caffeine on the Day of the Procedure
Caffeine can increase sensitivity and may make the procedure feel less comfortable. Limiting it on the day of your appointment can help.
7. Avoid Cosmetic Procedures on the Area
Avoid any recent treatments, such as laser therapy or peels, on or around the scar area for at least four weeks prior to the appointment.
8. Arrive with Clean Skin
Arrive with clean, product-free skin on the scar area to help ensure that the pigment adheres well.

By following these steps, you’ll be preparing your skin for the best results and making the procedure as comfortable as possible
